We love living in Cherokee Heights. We walk to Tommy Smith Elementary on nice sidewalks the entire way. Friends in other parts of town have had trouble with snakes, possums, racoons, scorpions, wolf spiders etc in their yards and homes, yikes! The wildest creature we've had in our yard is a turtle. With just a few flowers we attract hundreds of gorgeous butterflies. The drive to base is way easier from Cherokee Heights than from Lynn Haven, not to mention it's a long distance call from Tyndall to Lynn Haven, not so for Cherokee Heights. Halloween night is just like living on base...everyone is out having a good family friendly time, and it wraps up by 8:00 pm. I highly recommend the Cherokee Heights neighborhood.

I love the Cherokee Heights neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly. I love seeing kids be able to ride bikes and parents walk the rounds with their strollers. I really enjoy having Tommy Smith Elementary and Merritt Brown Middle School right there. What's really cool is seeing the marching band from the middle school practice right past your house! We have made some very good friends in the neighborhood, and I know there's more people out there to meet. I like how convenient Cherokee Heights is - to the Panama City Mall, to other shopping, to restaurants, to WalMart, to Tyndall Air Force Base, and even Panama City Beach. I love being close to the beach but I don't have to live on the beach. Highway 231 can get me on the road to other places, but I don't feel like I live right on a busy highway. Bottom line, I just really enjoy the Cherokee Heights neighborhood! How about you?

There are countless hardships that can turn home ownership from a joy into a burden. The loss of a job, medical bills, or an unexpected hike in monthly payments can all make a mortgage unaffordable. But ignoring the bills will not make them go away, it will only make things worse.
If you need help, there are approaches that can help, but you may not be familiar with them. One of these is a "short sale."
In an approved short sale, the lender agrees to accept less than is owed for the property, and the homeowner is relieved of the debt. A lender may be willing to do this because it spares a lot of hassle and expense involved in executing a foreclosure. And typically, a short sale does far less damage to the homeowner's credit than a foreclosure does.
If you would like to explore the possibility of a short sale for your property in Panama City Florida, avoid foreclosure, and potentially save your credit rating, please complete the form below. A qualified short sale agent will be in touch with helpful information.

I think it will be quite a while. Beach prices are still falling and that's why we moved out to Cherokee Heights.
