Decorating The Kitchen With Cherries

Cherries kitchen decor can liven up an otherwise drab kitchen and it is relatively easy to accomplish. You can have a few cherries in your kitchen or you can have a lot of items with the beautiful red cherry to adorn the room that you are probably in more than any other room of your home.

You can choose items that have cherries on them or you can pick appliances that are cherry red or a nice mixture of both. The nice thing about red is that it can either be the main color in a room or it can be a lovely accent color to work with.

Dinnerware Can Be One Place To Add Cherries To Your Decor

The fun thing about choosing a pattern of dinnerware that has cherries on it is that you can mix and match the dishes. You can have a set like the one featured below and add pieces that are cherry red in color to add interest to the table.

Decor Idea For Kitchen Walls

Personally, I like the idea of using cherries as an accent to a kitchen that is already using red as the main color or an accent color. You can spiff up your kitchen walls with a little wallpaper, a border, and some paint.

A cute idea would be to paper the bottom portion of your walls in a cherry red and white checked wallpaper. Paint the top portion of the walls either white, a pale blue, or a joyful yellow. Now, add a wallpaper border where the two meet, you could pick one with cherries in the pattern.

A Set Of Cherry Kitchen Towels

A nice way to add cherries to your decor is by using kitchen towels that have a cherry theme. It could be the only cherries you have in your kitchen or they could just add to the theme you have already created for your kitchen. Ever wonder where that phrase came from? It was actually a song written in 1930 and performed in the 1931 revue "George White's Scandals" by Ethel Merman. The lyrics were:

Life is just a bowl of cherries;
