Cherries, a very tasty fruit

featuring the 3 Nanking cherry bushes in my driveway.

I didn't really have room for cherry trees, and one of the garden catalogs had these bushes and another variety of bush for sale cheap a few years back, so, I added them to my order.
the other variety, don't recall what it was, only lasted 2 years and the hot summer killed them, the Nankings have continued growing, not exactly prospering, but they didn't die.
I do manage to get a few cherries every year, usually the birds get them all tho, and thats OK, too.

I have considered more than a few times cutting down the giant walnut tree in the back yard and replacing it with a small orchard of dwarf cherry, plum and apple trees. Of course I've also thought about putting a tree house up in the walnut tree too, neither action has happened as yet, but I've only been here 15 years, so...
