Divine Temptation
Cherry cheesecake - just the thought of it makes me cheery! Right now, I'd love nothing more than to have a piece of this delectable dessert. In fact, I think I'll go ahead and make one!
But it wouldn't be fair of me to leave you in suspense - wondering how my cheesecake turned out, wondering if it's as good as it sounds...thus I've decided to share my recipe with you!
What's even better is that any proceeds made from this lens goes to charity and it will always be this way - forever - so spread the word about this Delectable Cherry Cheesecake and be part of enhancing the lives of those in need.
Remember: There is always more that happens behind the scenes than people are aware of; in no way does it lessen the impact of a gift.
What you will need:
Here is a list of the ingredients in the order in which they will appear in the recipe. Excuse me! It sounds as though I'm referring to a cast of characters...
However, this recipe would not be as delectable if one ingredient was left out...so let's get on with introducing Delectable Cherry Cheesecake's cast of characters - ahem, ingredients - which provides a generous portion for 12 people:
- 1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
- 1/2 cup Oreo cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter/margarine
-
2 tablespoons of water.
********** - 1 cup fresh milk
- 2 envelopes of Dream Whip (or other dessert topping)
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of clear vanilla
-
1 pkg 250 mL Philadelphia Cream Cheese (or your preferred brand.)
******************* - 1 540 mL can of Cherry Pie Filling
Step 1
The crumby (no pun intended) base

Place graham wafer and Oreo crumbs into a medium-sized bowl. Add melted butter and water.
Stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture clumps together.
Spread the crumb mixture on the base of a 9" x 13" glass dish and set aside.
Step 2
Preparing your dessert topping

Place 1 cup of cold fresh milk, 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of clear vanilla into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, whip at high speed for 60 seconds. Gradually add two envelopes of dessert topping and continue beating until dessert topping is firm.
Add softened cream cheese spread and beat on medium speed until the cream cheese does not appear in clumps. It will however have a cottage cheese-like appearance.
Spread this mixture over the layer of crumbs and set aside in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Adorning Glory

Remove the glass dish from the refrigerator. Evenly spread the can of Cherry Pie Filling over the dessert topping.
It's recommended to set it aside in the refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours before serving; however, if you are too excited and cannot wait, feel free to cut off a portion. It will still taste great but the appearance will not be as appealing because the pie filling will not have had a chance to set.
**Of course, if you prefer, you can replace Cherry Pie Filling with Blueberry or Lemon Pie Filling. You can also substitute it with your favorite homemade jam.
