plant propagation

Ranked #30,392 in Home & Garden, #561,045 overall

seeds, cuttings, grafting, there are a lot of ways to start plants

not ready for prime time list of resources concerning plant propagation

la magie, vous savez ;)

shown here is an ebb and flow hydroponic garden built out of junk that was scrounged, and a few parts off the shelf. the biggest expense will be the hydroton to fill the buckets.

Aug 2011 - those hydro maters are still surviving, they don't look like much, but they are surviving some serious abuse.

July 2011, planted the last of the Large Red Cherry Tomato plants in a makeshift hydroponic garden at the flea market booth.
its a learning experience.

June 2011 - tomato starts are selling good, I probably didnt start enough,

Feb 2011
I saved a lot of seed from the hollyhocks last year, thinking about using them to make some seed bombs. I even went out and got a 5 gal bucket of highly rich red clay soil from the local Red Hills Wine appelation to use as the soil in my little red clay marbles.
also have a lot of poppies, marigold and catnip seed... hmmm, perhaps seed bombs with some of all would be even better. well, mebbe not the catnip... Out of the remaining selection, something is bound to like an area and provide some sort of color

might be a little late for this year, I planted this years poppies last year...
but mebbe not,
and even if so,
its a great start on next year ;)
