Who is Cheryl Ladd - Actress

Cheryl Ladd started her Hollywood career as a singer. She was the voice of Melody on the Josie and The Pussycats cartoon.

Under her maiden name of Cheryl Stoppelmoor, she soon landed acting roles and was featured in such television shows as The Rookies, Harry O, Ironside, Search, The Partridge Family and others. She also appeared in the 1973 television movie "Satan's School for Girls".

She soon married actor David Ladd and took on his surname. As Cheryl Ladd, she appeared in Police Story, Happy Days and other programs before landing the role of Kris Munroe on Charlie's Angels, replacing Farrah Fawcett. Her stardom soared on this series and she became a pop culture phenomenon, appearing on posters, notebooks, trading cards and even had dolls modeled after her likeness.

Cheryl Ladd also appeared in many television movies during this time and has continued to make quality features for cable television. She also starred in the television series "One West Wakiki" and also had a role in the television series "Las Vegas" playing the ex-wife of James Caan.

Cheryl Ladd has recently appeared in episodes of "Chuck" and "NCIS".
