Chest Muscles
The Chest Muscles
Introduction
The Pectoralis Minor is actually hidden underneath the Pectoralis Major and is responsible for bringing your arms and shoulder blades forward. The best example of this is the shrug, which requires a strong pull from the chest area. As you can imagine, if you bulk up the Pectoralis Minor, then the Pectoralis Major will also push forward, which is why the shrug is such a popular exercise. The bench press also works as a great way to work all portions of your chest and can be done in three basic varieties - the flat bench press, the incline bench press, and the decline bench press.
If you want to build up your chest muscles effectively, then the best strategy is a combination of shrugs, bench presses, and flye movements. This will allow you to work all aspects of your chest effectively and helps you create an overall balanced look and feel.
The chest muscle is one of the largest in the human body and is also very strong, which means that it can take a lot of punishment. Thanks to the size of the muscle, you can spend a lot of time in the gym without wearing it down very fast, but that means that if you want to build muscle you will have to dedicate the time to doing so. Still, aside from the biceps, people love looking at and seeing a strong chest, so don't be afraid to spend the time to build yours.
