Multi-platinum Epic recording artists Chevelle

Bands often book studio time in remote, isolated locations where the biggest distraction is the refrigerator, and the best way to kill the boredom is to get to work on the task at hand. Multi-platinum Epic recording artists Chevelle took the opposite approach, recording their new album VENA SERA at the Palms Studio in the heart of Las Vegas. There they were flooded with temptation-from the bustling poker tables and ringing slot machines to the flashy Lamborghini lent to them by casino owner Gavin Maloof.

History of Rock Band Chevelle

Chevelle formed in 1995 in Grayslake, Illinois when the brothers Pete Loeffler and Sam Loeffler started enjoying music

:Not to be confused with The Chevelles.

Chevelle is an American rock trio that formed in 1995 in Grayslake, Illinois. The band originally comprised three brothers: Pete (lead vocals/guitar), Sam (drums/percussion), and Joe Loeffler (bass/backing vocals). Joe left the band in 2005 and was replaced by brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini, soon after.

Chevelle has sold nearly two million albums in the United States. The band's first full-length album, Point #1 was released on a small record label called Squint Entertainment. Chevelle's second album, Wonder Whats Next, was certified Platinum by the RIAA after a debut at #14 on the United States albums chart, Billboard 200. This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In), the bands third album debuted at #8 and has been certified Gold. Chevelle has since released a fourth album, Vena Sera and the band recently finished recording its fifth album, Sci-Fi Crimes, which was released on August 31, 2009. Other releases from Chevelle include a live album and a DVD.

Vena Sera is the fourth studio album by Chevelle

Chevelle released Vena Sera on April 3, 2007 through Epic Records.

Chevelle has been releasing solid, if not entirely original-sounding, albums for the better part of a decade now and Vena Sera serves as another pleasant but workaday entry in the band's still sparse oeuvre. The group's continued debt to Tool remains obvious on the hard-hitting opener "Antisaint" with its throbbing guitar work and from-the-gut vocals and can also be heard during the arena-ready stomp "The Fad." There are few surprises throughout, very little we haven't already heard from Chevelle and its contemporaries before: The pulsating, detuned riffs that populate the mosh-intensive "Humanoid" and the fairly pallid late-album arrival "Midnight to Midnight" (which could have been a serious radio contender circa 1999) share space with the uplifting guitar figures of the slightly pop-inflected "Brainiac" and the nearly anthemic "Well Enough Alone" to familiar but comforting effect. Still, lovers could do far worse than dive in and enjoy some workmanlike riffs delivered in an enthusiastic fashion that many of this band's imitators will never manage to muster. Vena Sera is decent through and through but hardly ever life-changing.--Jedd Beaudoin

"I Get It" is the second single from Chevelle's 2007 album, Vena Sera

The music video for "I Get It" was world premiered on November 28, 2007 on MTV2

The video marks the first time since the band's video for "Mia" in 1999 that the band did not appear in its music video. The band themselves directed the video.

The video features a man at his job (Jeff Hiliard). He is frequently picked on by his employer (Paul Hughes). He plans an elaborate scheme to get back at his boss, including dressing up as a clown, having a Mixed Martial Artist (played by Josh Koscheck) attack his boss, and tattooing "Mr. Perfect" into his boss's head.

The video features two comedians and fellow friends of the band, Jeff Hilliard and Paul Hughes. They play the video's main protagonist and antagonist.

"Send the Pain Below" is the second single off the album Wonder What's Next from hard rock band Chevelle

Chevelle performing Family System

The single is considered their most successful and hit #1 on both the Modern Rock Tracks and the Mainstream Rock Tracks. Lyrically, "Send the Pain Below" appears to describe a relationship where one person suppresses and hurts the other. It is told through the receiver's perspective.

The song's music video revolves around a snowboarder and his difficulties in striving for excellent performance. The band is seen playing the song in a dark room, their breath creating fog in the cold air.
