The new Chevrolet Volt was introduced in the United States late 2010, and in Europe in 2011, for sure this it not a ordinary new car, but an electric car into a completely new class. It is the first electric vehicle that can generate its own electricity. The advanced liquid-cooled battery of the Volt is supported by a 1.4L generator that can recharge the battery while driving, so the range of the Volt is increased to more than 500 km.
The Picture that you see on the upper left side was just a concept model for the Chevrolet Electric Camaro that they later changed and re-designed to the Chevrolet Volt. the Camaro shape was far from aerodynamic. That car turned out to have a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.43, far higher than most cars today.

And then there's the financial benefit: the Chevrolet Volt will cost you about 0.02 cents per km. With a fully charged battery the Chevy Volt can drive up to 60 km. That is 60 km very affordable electric driving pleasure in the Chevrolet Volt. Taken over one year, the Volt uses not more electricity than a standard household appliance.
