Chevrolet Corvette

Since 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has been known as THE American sports car. In fact, its introduction made it the first true American sports car! Although the initial Corvette still was far behind its European competitors in terms of performance and handling, the current Chevy Corvette is a far difference vehicle, offering the speed and performance that few sports cars on the market can match.

The current Chevrolet Corvette is known as the C6, as was introduced in 2005. With 0-60 times of less than five seconds and covering the quarter mile in less than 13 seconds, the Chevy Corvette is very powerful and is capable or reaching nearly 200 miles per hour!

Under the hood of the Chevrolet Corvette is a 6.2 liters V8 engine that produces 430 horsepower and is mated to either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. The Corvette Z06 ups the ante with a 7.0-liter variant that produces an amazing 505 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Many potential Chevrolet Corvette buyers will notice that the fit and finish of the latest Vette as improved dramatically over previous versions. In side the Corvette, drivers will be well supported and be surrounded with an ergonomic dash as well as quality materials.
