The Chevrolet Camaro first rolled out of factory doors and onto the streets in 1967. They were built as direct competition to the Ford Mustang. They were quickly bought up by muscle car guys on every street and every city in the USA! They quickly became a success and grew into a cult icon of a car! Chevy Camaro produced cars until 2002 when they retired the Camaro name and body style.
Die hard fans will not let the Chevy Camaro die like that and so many images have surfaced online of 2010 Chevy Camaro's! Have you seen one of those yet?

Camaro in the mid 70's

Like all other cars, Camaro felt the crunch from emmision control!

(Image is a 1977 Camaro)
Like all other cars in the mid 70's, Camaro had to install various smog pumps and other items to bring there engines in compliance with the new emission's laws. This made the motors weaker. Most gearheads just removed the extra smog control stuff to give their motors extra boost!

I once had a 1969 Camaro in turquoise metallic with black stripes and black interior. I bought it with a 327 engine in it but later swapped it out for a 302 race engine with dual four barrel carburetors, full-race cam, Muncie M21 close ratio 4 speed, and 4:56 positrac rear end. It would literally light up the tires at 50 MPH in 3rd gear! What a fun car to drive! I really miss it and have wished a thousand times over the decades I'd never sold it. Maybe someday I be able to replace it again. In my mind the 1969 Z28/RS Camaro was the best looking of the early generation.

My favorite are the 68 Camaros. Following closely by the newest Camaros. :D I love the retro styling. Thanks! Lensrolled to Salvage Vehicles, which shows a really bad picture of a rebuilt Iroc Z.

Every time I see the Chevy Camaro on the street I can't help but stare. The new Transformers Camaro is the sexiest American sports car to hit the street since the Smoky and The Bandit Trans-Am. I love it, I want one!

Looks great. I like the design of the old Camaros and the new one looks like it has retained that retro look. We don't have many of these in the UK though, unfortunately. I have a Jaguar XKR which just doesn't make enough noise.

Your lens is great. I had a 68 Camaro in high school and it was my absolute favorite car. I wish I could have kept it but I had my kids young and it paid for our trip to DisneyWorld.
