Chicago is the greatest city in America! Yes, I said it. Chicago Rocks!

Everyone seems infatuated with New York and L.A., but what about the monster of the Midwest? Where does that fit in?

I am going to tell you why Chicago is the best city to live in, and why you should undoubtedly visit Chicago.

You Have to Go To.....

Places to visit while in Chicago

There are a ton of places to go in Chicago, but here are some of my favorites that I always take people to when they come and visit.

- Wrigley Field: If you come to Chicago during the summer, there is no better party spot than Wrigley Field. Oh, and make sure you have an Old Style beer.

- Michigan Avenue: For the hard-core shoppers this should be your mecca. Every big time designer you want in some of the most architecturally beautiful buildings in the country.

- North Avenue Beach: In the summer it feels like you are in California. Thousands of beautiful Chicagoans flock to the beach each day in the summer and do nothing but have fun. The Pro Beach Volleyball Tours also set up shop on this beach frequently during the warm season.

- Sears Tower: You have to see the landmark spot in Chicago. As one of the tallest buildings in the world, it is pretty cool to head up to the top floor and take a gander over the greatest city ever.

- Lincoln Park: If you want some solid nightlife, head up and down Lincoln Ave. in Lincoln Park on Chicago's north side.

Chicago - "Sport's Town"

Lovable Losers (except the White Sox)

Chicago Cubs
What would Chicago be like without the most popular losers of all time... The Cubbies. There's always next year Cubs, 2006 is our year.
White Sox
Congrats to the World Champion White Sox, you have officially moved from being the 2nd most popular baseball team in Chicago, to the 2nd most popular baseball team in Chicago.
Da Bears
With the nostalgia of 1985's Championship season in our hearts, Chicago's dreams were quickly dashed as the Bears blew it in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Bulls
These guys still have a team? You mean, they continued to play after Michael Jordon and Scottie Pippen left?
Blackhawks
Being the Blackhawks is like being the worst team on a sport nobody cares about. I am not even sure the local news even covers the sport anymore. I am still a fan though because they bear the Chicago name.

Other Chicago Sports Teams Less Popular than the Blackhawks

Chicago Fire
The Fire are actually pretty good. Noone notices in Chicago, because noone cares about soccer.
Chicago Rush
Arena football is actually gaining in popularity. And what true Chicagoan wouldn't want to see a football team owned by 'Da Coach' Mike Ditka.
Chicago Bandits
I know what you're thinking... Women's softball? But at least Chicago has Jennie Finch.
Chicago Sky
What city isn't complete without their very own WNBA team. I will pull some punches here so insert your own WNBA joke.
