Lightweight Strollers Are Perfect For Babys First Stroller

Chicco C6 Lightweight Stroller Umbrella strollers fold up so small and are so light, you could almost put them in your tote bag. Also, umbrella strollers fit easily in you car, an unoccupied seat or even on the floor.

Their small size and portability make them a welcome stow-away in your car. Just tuck them in any unused corner, away you go, knowing that you will have your umbrella stroller at the ready when you arrive at your destination.

Lightweight strollers offer more features than their diminutive buddies the umbrella stroller, but have fewer features than their more robust associates the mid- and full-sized strollers.

Still the lightweight strollers have their useful place in the baby's transportation collection. Lightweights are perfect for baby's first stroller.

Safety Is Always First

Chicco C6 Lightweight StrollerMost lightweight strollers are obtainable with the same features as the standard stroller which are a reclining seat, swiveling front wheels and suspension, dual wheel brake system, 5-point harness and easy fold mechanism.

And you can basically find the same accessories available as well.

An Umbrella Stroller Is The Lightest Stroller Available

Chicco C6 Lightweight StrollerAn umbrella stroller has curved double handles and they fold up easily and compactly, like an umbrella; hence the name. These are the smallest and lightest baby strollers available.

They can have a cloth or vinyl seat on a basic frame with swivel wheels.

Some offer features such as a canopy and a storage basket. This is a great stroller for short trips where you don't need to bring a lot of stuff with you.

But beware thought, they are not as sturdy as other strollers and don't offer the same safety features.

They are also not meant for children less than 6 months or children unable to sit unassisted in an upright position.

Most Parents Consider Umbrella Stroller To Be A Cheap Stroller

Chicco C6 Lightweight StrollerMost parents consider an umbrella stroller to be a cheap stroller to use every once in a while. Today's umbrella strollers offer new advances in technology to make the ride comfortable for baby and mom or dad.

The best part of the umbrella stroller is that it is lightweight.

When out for a day of shopping or running errands, getting the umbrella stroller in and out of the car is a cinch because they weigh anywhere from 9-16 lbs.

Once folded compactly, tossing the stroller in the trunk is easy because of the light weight.

Safety Harness Keeps Baby Safe

Chicco C6 Lightweight StrollerUmbrella strollers offer safety while children are strolling along. 5 point safety harnesses are included on many designs and offer the support children need.

The safety harness keeps children in a seated position and alleviates them from getting out. Most safety harnesses are child proof, insuring a child cannot let them self out during a stroll.

In order for baby to be comfortable, the correct seating position must be achieved. Many umbrella strollers available today offer adjustable back recline and footrest length.

This way, as a child grows, the new style umbrella stroller can grow with them and keep them comfortable for the ride.

Customer Reviews

It's great product. We got it for our 8 months old son. He loves this stroller. We can walk with him long and he doesn't complain. Stroller is very easy to fold and very light:) good for traveling. I just don't like fact that when I fold it umbrella gets dirty from wheels, so now every time after walk we put plastic bag on wheels before folding. I really recomend this stroller.

Great lightweight, go anywhere stroller....with recline! I originally looked at the Maclaren but found that it did not recline. My baby would not be a fan of that. I love Chicco!

Just what I needed. Folds up umbrella style but reclines. No more bobbing baby head when they fall asleep. . I was at the mall with my 3 boys one year old in the stroller and my 8 and 9 year old walking beside. The canopy is amazing the baby had sun in his face and all I did was lower it on the metal bar and it shaded him to his belly. I am hanging up my umbrella stroller for good. I've been carrying it around on my back when I'm not using it and for me it's extremely light. Also when we stopped at the food court and I took the baby out my bags didn't make the stroller fall to the floor. Loooooooooooooove it!!!!!!
