Chicken Casserole Recipe Ingredients List:

4 chicken breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
½ cup sour cream
½ cup milk
½ cup butter
1 package instant stuffing or seasoned croutons
4 Swiss cheese slices

This Chicken Casserole Recipe is pretty easy to fix!

How to Make this Chicken Casserole:

Place chicken breasts in a greased casserole dish (9x13 typically).
Cover each chicken breast with a slice of Swiss cheese.
In a separate bowl mix together 2 cans cream of chicken soup, ½ cup sour cream, and ½ cup milk.
Prepare stuffing as directed on package, and melt ½ cup butter to mix with stuffing.
Spread stuffing mixture over the top of and around the chicken breasts.
Bake in your slow cooker on high for 1½ hours covered and an additional ½ hour uncovered.

Want to make that casserole au gratin? Simply sprinkle the assembled dish with grated cheese and bread crumbs moistened with a little melted butter and dried herbs if desired and continue baking until filling is cooked and topping is melted and bubbling.

When you don't have the specific casserole baking dish called for in a recipe, it's best to think big. Opt to use a pan of equal or slightly greater volume. However, if you substitute a pan that is shallower than the one specified, reduce the baking time by 25 percent, if the pan is deeper increase the baking time by 25 percent.
