Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless chicken breast about 6 ounces each
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 12 slices thin sliced ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 piece raw egg
- 4 teaspoon softened butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In a small bowl, combine the butter and salt. Mix well and set aside.
3. On a flat surface, place a piece of chicken breast and brush the top with the butter mixture. Sprinkle some paprika.
4. Top the chicken breast with ham slices and then the cheese.
5. Roll the chicken breast from one to the other.
6. Combine the remaining butter mixture with egg and whisk.
7. Brush the outer part of the chicken with the egg-butter mixture. Then coat chicken with bread crumbs.
8. On a greased baking dish, bake chicken for 25 minutes. If chicken is not yet cooked, cover chicken with aluminum foil and continue baking until chicken is cooked.
9. Slice into individual servings.
10. Serve hot.
