Should the Chicken Dance Still Be Played at Weddings?
I'm not really a fan of the Chicken Dance, but some are. There are always a bunch of people who jump up to dance - often people who don't dance any other songs will dance to the Chicken Dance.

I've never heard it called the chicken dance before - it was "The Birdie Song" by The Tweets here in 1981. To be honest, it is not really my taste in music but at least it is music, compared to the modern day, computerised drivel! :)

I notice that it seems to have taken the reins from the old "Alley Cat" that used to be at all the weddings. Maybe I'm just getting grumpy! :)

I have only seen the chicken dance on video and think it's absolutely silly. I suppose that's the fun of it, but frankly I can continue without witnessing it live easily.

My mom enjoys it but I think it's too corny. My daughter didn't have it at her wedding. Thank, goodness.

- I have to say that I am not a fan of the dance. I also have to confess that I HAVE danced the silly thing. When I used to sing at a fair in Maine, the guy who came on after me did an entertaining kids' show and the dance was part of it, so I helped by participating. I felt like an idiot though...
