Chicken potpie

Ranked #24,687 in Food & Cooking, #498,286 overall

Do you like chicken pot pie?

Well my family does but doesn't like the crust. So I make mine without a crust. Instead I put mashed potatoes on the top. Well here's my version of a chicken pot pie without crust.

1lb of chicken cutlets cubed & fully cooked
1 can cream of chicken soup ( I used a store brand & no one knew the difference)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can of peas
1 can of sliced carrots
1 can of corn
2lbs potatoes ( I use red ones & I just cube them up skins & all)

Combine all the chicken , soups & veggies in either a big bowl or cassorole dish depending on how you want to cook this up. I tried this in my slow cooker the other night so all I did was mixed them all up in it & turned it on. Easy clean up along with not heating up the house using the oven. What you want to do it make mashed potatoes & spread them over your chicken mixture in what ever container you are cooking it in. Heat until the soup is bubbling from the sides.

My family loves this dish so much that there were no leftovers. You can make this any night of the week or make it on a weekend. Have friends over & tell them to bring some homemade buttermilk bisquits with them to injoy along with this. I hope you enjoy making this dish & enjoy eating i9t as much as my family has.

Why not try out using beef or just veggies

Veggies alone would be great

I would love to make this with just veggies to see how it comes out. Maybe you could try it & let me know how it comes out. I'll try this one with beef next time I make it & I'll let you all know how it comes out. For now the chicken one is the family's favorite on I make. Please try this recipe for yourself & let me know how it comes out.
