Homemade Chicken Soup Recipe

Chicken Soup Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium sized diced onion
- 1 lb diced boneless skinless chicken breast
- 32 ounces chicken broth
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 3/4 cup chopped celery stalk
- 3/4 cup diced carrots
- 3/4 cup shredded cabbage
- 3/4 cup fresh or evaporated milk
- 1 cup water
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Heat a cooking pot and toss in the butter. Then add the onions and cook until texture is soft.
2. Add in the chicken breasts and cook for 5 minutes. Sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste. Stir.
3. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Pour the water and milk. Re-boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Toss the elbow macaroni and cook for 8 minutes with occasional stirring.
5. Add the carrots and celery. Simmer for 3 minutes then add in the cabbage. Cook for minutes more.
6. Transfer soup to a serving plate.
7. Serve hot.
