Chicken Teriyaki Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 Chicken thigh fillets
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup soya sauce
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- steamed rice
- lettuce
- tomato (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Wash chicken thigh fillet and dry with a towel.
2. In a large bowl, put the plain flour and coat the chicken. Remove the excess.
3. In a hot pan, add 2 tablespoon oil and fry the chicken thigh fillet for 1 minute on each side.
4. Slice the chicken thigh fillet into bite-sized pieces.
5. Drain excess oil from the pan and fry the chicken bite-sized pieces back in the pan.
6. Pour the soy sauce and the cup of water. Add in the sugar as well.
7. Stir on medium heat until soy sauce is thick for about 5 minutes.
8. Keep turning the chicken every 1 minute.
9. Serve with steam rice, lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
10. Place chicken on top of the lettuce and sprinkle the thick soy sauce over the chicken.
