A guide to happy chicken keeping
Small disclaimer: This is my first lens so expect it to change and improve rapidly - check back often and enjoy your visit.
We have been sharing our land with free range rare breed chickens for the last 8-10 years. Over that time a lot has been learned about how different breeds behave, what they like and do not like -- what makes a content happy bird.
A happy bird is a productive bird
I shall share these tips and information on looking after and enjoying your birds. Keep them healthy and happy and they will reward you for years to come with fabulous fresh eggs and attentive loving company.
Yes, I did say company. Chickens are not just good for eggs. They are also one of the most relaxing animals to be around and really do enjoy human interaction.
In turn we have found that humans relax and cope with even really severe stress related illness very much better when sharing time with the chickens. Strange maybe, but true.
