Chicken Sausage Gumbo

Hi again,

I've gotten a recipe of a chicken sausage gumbo I think you'll enjoy. Remember, all chefs are not the same, so you'll find many variations. Hope you like it!! Oh, watch the videos too. I think you'll really like it!! Pretty entertaining and lots of information.

Chicken Sausage Gumbo

Ingredients

* 2 chicken (deboned)
* 1 lb Andouille sausage, cut in 1/2 inch slices
* 2 cups chopped green onions
* 3 cups white onions, chopped
* 1 1/2 cups chopped green bell peppers
* 3 cups chopped okra
* 1/2 cup flour
* 1/2 cup vegetable oil
* 1 tablespoon gumbo file
* 5 cups water

Chicken Sausage Gumbo

Cooking Directions

1. Boil and debone chicken (save Stock).
2. Make the roux by heating the oil and flour in pan (continue stirring!!).
3. Until it's the color of peanut butter (DO NOT BURN).
4. Add the seasoning and cook until onions are clear.
5. Add the chicken Stock and deboned chicken and sauage.
6. Salt& pepper to taste.
7. Bring to boil and simmer 1 hour.
8. Serve over fluffy rice in large shallow bowls
