Alexkazam children's entertainer in Surrey UK

If you're looking for a kids entertainer, then perhaps Alexkazam can help! I perform magic, story-telling, balloon models and FUN for children's parties in the UK. Longer shows- where I run the whole party include games such as a quiz, dance competition, relay races- all with added emtertainment so that you can relax and enjoy the show.

I also teach older children how to perform magic- and why knowing how a trick is done is not all there is to doing magic! If you live in the Surrey or Hampshire area of the UK, why not contact me before your next children's party to discuss options? I have included some tips and ideas that you can use in your next kid's party.

If you're looking for someone to entertain your kid's at a birthday party or other event, why not let someone else keep the children happy whilst you take a well-earned break?!

Alexkazam the magic man!

Children's entertainer in Surrey and Hampshire border

I am a children's entertainer based in Hampshire, on the border of Surrey. I first worked with children when I escaped a dull job to work for a major children's adventure holiday company. To my surprise, I found I really liked the challenge of working with children.

Later I managed a holiday play scheme for the local council...

I decided to combine my interest in magic with my experience of working with children to become ALEXKAZAM THE MAGIC MAN!

Kid's party shows- magic, comedy, games and FUN!

Children's entertianment appropriate for each age range

I perform a variety of shows tailored to your needs and to the age group of the children. My shows can be for children from four years old up to seven years old.
( Older children may be interested in a new show I am developing where I teach magic.)

Shows can consist of:

Magic with story-telling
Balloon modeling
Games

Everyone is entertained by the laughter and magical story telling
as well as making the birthday child a star in the show!

Younger audiences need quite a bit of variety and my show reflects this.

I include lots of audience participation and use volunteers to add fun

and interest to the magic and story telling to get maximum entertainment value.

The birthday child helps me with the magic in my big finish and
I give him/her a special balloon model.

At the end of the show all the children get a magic fun pack
which has colouring in, puzzles and some magic tricks to try.

My magic show can be performed in a room in your house, a village hall
or an assembly hall. I have a microphone and small amplifier/speaker which ensures

I can be heard comfortably without shouting!

I arrive with all I require to perform my show, I will need an ordinary
power socket for my amplification and two responsible adults present.

Suitability to work with children

I have a CRB check

Naturally, you will be concerned that anyone working with your children is suitable to do so.

I have an enhanced disclosure dated 29 November 2007 from the criminal records bureau - which is the clearance required to show that I have no convictions.

I have one copy, the CRB has a copy on computer and Hampshire County council has a copy. If you wish to see this prior to booking please contact me.

Kid's party- what's in the show?

Magic, comedy, story-telling, games and FUN!

My Introduction:

At the very start I introduce myself and get the children (and adults) involved- this breaks the ice and gets the
children used to listening carefully.

First Part:

If it's a longer show I would go into my games section which involves a mixture of noisy and quiet games and lots of fun. In a shorter show I would go into my story-telling with magic. Sometimes the magic happens to me when I'm not looking and the children shout like crazy to let me know!

The Middle Bit:

In the middle of the magic I make some balloon animals asking the children to guess what I'm making before I finish them, I give some terrible puns as clues!

I then go into more magic, involving volunteers from the audience to act as characters in my mini drama, all with a magical finish! All volunteers get a special
magician's assistant certificate for helping me with my magic!

The Big Finish

At the end of my show I involve the whole audience and can lead the happy birthday song for the birthday child.

Here's a link to join Squidoo- so easy and fun to do!
If you're new to Squidoo you may want to know what it's all about- well, what you are reading is called a "Squidoo lens"- Squidoo is like a combination between a blog and a website and is very easy to make, free to join and use and it can make you money and drive traffic to your websites, ebay sales or charity.

It's very simple to use because you need no technical knowledge and you can build your "lenses" a module at a time- and these are super user-friendly.

How do you make money? Well, according to how many people visit your lenses you get a percentage of the advertising revenue the whole of Squidoo makes, you also can earn commision from sales from Amazon and Ebay, Etsy or Cafe Press. It's fun, too!

Childrens magic workshop

Entertainment and lessons for older children

A recent addition to my repertoire is a magic teach-in for children. This is made to appeal to older children who want to learn some magic instead of simply watching someone else do magic.

I teach easy to learn magic for kids using everyday objects so that budding magicians will be able to do magic without special props. This sort of magic looks more magical than using special apparatus and it means that they will be able to perform magic almost anywhere, like their favourate street magician. At the end of the session, your child will go away understanding the foundations of misdirection, performance and able to do at least one simple trick. They also get a booklet of tricks to learn.

If you are thinking about buying some magic apparatus or books for a child- I recommend buying a good quality prop that can be used in many ways over buying one of the many magic sets that contains lots of very cheap and nasty plastic props which end up in the loft!

Better still is to buy a good book of magic for children, or a DVD so that your child can learn by watching the magic being performed. Tricks using coins, rope or elastic bands are good and it's easy to find the right size coin, rope or bands to fit a child's hand. You may wish to learn magic alongside a child to keep them motivated to learn the moves well as it's a common mistake for people to think that knowing how it's done means they can perform a trick right away!
