Beverly Hills Chihuahua
This is my tribute to all the brave Chihuahuas out there:
They have the most personality, are very loyal to their owners, are smart and protective and last but not least - Chis are very loud and can sound really scary when they think there's something threatening out there.
On top of that, as they have just proved in Beverly Hills Chihuahua film, they are also talented, photogenic and courageous actors.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua cast
Papi: voice of George Lopez
Chloe: voice of Drew Barrymore
German shepherd Delgado - ex-police dog: voice of Andy Garcia
'Sotelo, host of the popular "Piolín por la Mañana" radio program on KSCA-FM (101.9), has a small part, joining a cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Eugenio Derbez, Piper Perabo and the voices of Edward James Olmos, Cheech Marin and Plácido Domingo, who lends his operatic tones to the character of Monte, the regal leader of a lost tribe of Chihuahuas inhabiting a ruined city. Plus, there's scores of trained dogs, a number of them rescued from animal shelters on both sides of the border.
[The actors discuss what it was like to record their speaking parts.]
Garcia: Drew and I did all our scenes together, you know, actually opposite one another. And they recorded us at the same time, they had cameras on us at the same time, I guess to look at your sort of facial expression, your mouth and stuff. Then they assembled the movie, and then we got a chance to come back in and sort of like improvise to picture. It really became a nice collaborative process, the script kept getting funnier . . . . And then you would be able to improvise against the behavior of the dogs.' - Excerpt from a conversaton: A trio of stars lend their voices (and barks and growls) to cute canines in 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua.'

i think chihuahuas are so cute, especially when their owners dress them up! if we were to get a dog, i would probably get one. my cats wouldn't know what to think since it would be as big as they are!

Don't like them, they are too small and bark too much!
Jack2205 says:
All of the Chihuahuas that I have seen act very aggressive. Because they are so tiny, people spoil them and let them act bad.

It's not that I don't like them, I just have a preference for pomeranians. I'm sure their owners love them!

Chihuahuas dogs
Although there are plenty of names in use these days to describe Chihuahuas of different sizes - like:
- teacup
- tiny toy
- miniature
- pocket size
- standard - and even
- deer chihuahuas (referring to their ears)
the Chihuahua Club of America and the American Kennel Club only recognize two types of Chihuahuas:
- the Long-haired and
- the Short-haired Chihuahua.
The '''''' () is the smallest breed of dog and is named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.

Help for homeless pets donations
We stopped a few yards further down the road and turned around to save the dog. Sadly, although only seconds passed since we first spotted the terrified lost pup, we found it on the opposite lane, killed. Someone ran it over...
I have no idea if this wandering little one was a runaway or a homeless pet. All I know is that there are a lot of pets roaming around for whatever the reason and if you can save a single life by donating some of your money to homeless pet charity - it's all worth it, isn't it?
Thank you.
