Best Child Pageant Systems in the United States

As you will discover when you begin to compete, not all Child Pageants and child beauty pageant systems are created equal.

Some are wonderful, well organized events that use qualified judges and provide great prizes.

Others, however, might use local judges who aren't trained and who know some of the contestants personally.

Most large pageant systems have a good reputation for being fair. If they didn't, they wouldn't stay in operation for very long.

Every good child beauty pageant system in the United States can't be listed or discussed here, but in this lens we will feature a few of the best ones in the USA that you can consider for entering your child into.

Forestry Child Pageant:

type=textIf you live in the Southeast, your state might offer a Forestry Pageant.

This is a great pageant system that's known for its fairness.

Younger girls are treated with things like stuffed animals or dolls, just for entering the pageant.

Sometimes the little girls are entertained while they wait backstage by their favorite costumed characters.

Older contestants enjoy a banquet and a dance. These girls must have a platform and must complete an interview and a speech in front of the judges before the pageant.

During the beauty segment of the pageant, the girls must answer an on-stage question.

Prizes for winners include a monogrammed director's chair, bicycles, luggage, toys, savings bonds, flowers, custom robes, rhinestone sashes, trophies, crowns, and engraved silver trays.

Division winners must agree to make appearances throughout the year promoting forestry.

World's Precious Children Pageant:

type=textThis pageant is based largely on natural facial beauty, and as such, it's referred to as a "face pageant."

Half of the overall score comes from facial beauty, in fact.

Dress isn't considered, so many of the contestants wear a simple flower girl dress instead of a glitzy pageant dress.

If you decide to enter this pageant, just make sure the dress fits well.

Makeup, pageant hair, and flippers are allowed, but the judges are looking more for natural beauty.

Every contestant in these pageants receives a Build-a-Bear, along with an outfit for their new "pet."

Nine supreme titles are awarded, and each of these nine girls receives a unique crown, a banner, and a $1,000 savings bond.

Little boys can also enter in the World's Precious Children Pageant.

My sister and I have a pageant system, Sparkle Girl Pageants. It's important to recognize each girl with an award. Some might contend that this gift practice undermines the "real" winners, but very young girls don't understand why they didn't get a "sparkly hat" and might feel there they did something wrong. Only with time and maturity do these girls understand the essence of pageants and that it's a contest. Young contestants need reassurance that they are worthy just being themselves. Pageants should be positive and never be a vehicle for hard life lessons to young minds. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with you, it is important that all the contestants come out of the pageant a Winner - with a prize or trophy of some sort, to celebrate.

I agree, I thought I was the only one who realized how good Glitter Girls Pageants was, Lots of fun! Director Tasha is a real Gem. It's funny how upset the 3 loser got. The parents of those kids are really bad examples of how 1 should be. I also like America's Grand Miss, Cool systems. If you are into pageants these are definitely the 2 to watch

Yes this list is Great, but you left out some of the other top Child Pageants- My Favorite is; glitter Girls Pageants, and Sunburst. Glitter Girls is fairly new, but it surely does compete with the older more established systems.

I do believe that child beauty pageants can be a good idea, if they are ran in fair, well organized manner that enhances the child's self-esteem.

It seems that USA is really into the whole Beauty Pageants scene as a community activity, and linked with all the town street parade events etc. and heavily supported by Corporations and Industry Bodies as a great Public Relations exercise.
