Welcome To My Child Modeling Corner of the Web!

Hello there! I have created this lens to post my thoughts and musings on the world of child modeling. I hope it can be some help to you - it has been fun to create!

Want To Know If Your Child Could Be A Model?

Child ModelingLet's get something straight from the outset - there is a huge difference between wanting to be a successful child model, and actually being a successful child model. Whilst you may think that you and your kid have a great deal of enthusiasm for child modeling, it will be put to the test - I guarantee it.

Besides all your enthusiasm, the rational part of your brain may be questioning whether or not your child can truly "make it" (as the saying goes). One thing is for sure - child modeling aint no fish in barrel shooting exercise. Having said that, it does lack some of the discrimination that seems to be the calling card of adult modeling.

There's a well-kept secret in child modeling (or perhaps people just don't want to hear it). In fact, this secret applies to pretty much all walks of life, when it comes to trying to succeed. Here it is folks - if you work your ass off, and do the right things, you will succeed.

There is no magic formula. That's it. So let's look at what the "right" things are.

What Do Clients And Child Modeling Agencies Look For?

There is no such thing as the "perfect" child model. And the idea that all people are looking for is a photogenic kid is a myth. Child modeling agencies are looking for all ages, shapes and sizes.

Whilst it can be that a certain "type" of child may be in more demand at any given time, that is basically luck, and you can't rely on that.

Youth is one thing (believe it or not, for kids). A child that looks young for their age is a great asset. Why? Older children tend to be better behaved, so if you can have a well-behaved older kid who looks younger, that's a good thing.

There Is Success Blueprint

Look - I could go on all day here, but I'll make it far simple. There is only so much reading you can do. The next step is to send photos and resumes and see where it takes you.

Doing, rather than reading, always gets better results. Good luck!
