You've seen lots of children's luggage at the airport. We've all seen lots of small children pulling along their own cute suitcases. Children love having their own luggage. Makes them feel very important and grown up going on a trip with their own stuff. And there's lot's of it around in all different price ranges and models. They come in pink, and blue, and sometimes red and navy. Disney has also introduced a cute line of rolling cases for young children, which is colorful and durable. But what about the tweens? These are the children who are too old for these babyish looking cases, and often too tall to be able to pull them. There are a few companies that have addressed this in-between age and designed luggage that can be carried by a six to sixteen year old child. The children love these cases and treat them well because they know it's important to have their own bag to travel with! Jansport was the first company to address the in-between young person. They've come out with truly fun patterns that appeal to young people just like their exciting backpack lines. The newest color is called "Chocolate Chip Squares and Pink Daiquiri." These cases are well made with inline skate wheels and locking pull and push handles. They have add-a-bag straps that can piggyback a smaller case. Slide over tote bags let you wheel the tote on top of the rolling luggage. This allows you to easily wheel more than one piece with the tote bag on top. The kids can handle this lightweight luggage themselves! Well made like all of the Jansport backpacks, the luggage is the quality we've continued to expect from this company. These Jansport cases are so great looking teenagers carry them and are proud to do so. They will probably love the great prints and hot colors right through college. The cases are extremely lightweight and very durable for a popular priced line. Adults looking for something different and easy to spot can also carry the cases. Jansport luggage is expandable with lots of pockets and extras you would expect to find on more expensive luggage. Another company that has introduced great looking young at heart cases is Landor and Hawa. There cases are made of polycarbonate. They are also expandable. The whole line is also extremely lightweight. The cases look like hard sided molded luggage, but they have zipper closings. The carry on size weighs a mere seven pounds, twelve ounces! The 27" Pullman case is only ten pounds! This fun luggage comes in polka dots of pink and white, black and white, and blue and white. Who can resist these dots? They also are available in solid colors of silver, charcoal, aqua blue, yellow, red, pale pink, or black. For the truly young at heart, there's a shiny cow print of black and white! All of the girls just love the polka dots, and probably don't outgrow them until after college. Women buy them also because they're so lightweight and easy to spot at busy airport carousels. The Landor and Hawa cases are expandable by two and one half inches. This adds a generous twenty-five percent additional packing capacity when needed. None of these cases should go over the fifty-pound weight restriction when packed. They start out so lightweight that it's easy to stay within the new airline requirements. The luggage in both brands can be nested for ease in storage by placing the smaller cases inside. This luggage is perfect for those in-between years. It makes travel a lot of fun and the trip more exciting and glamorous. It's great having something designed especially for the very young at heart!
