We're looking for some help on our journey in finding some Little Rocks
Children are such quick learners! They are also eager to get out there and have fun - especially if they get to see their parents and peers enjoying it.
I have created this lens in dedication to their interest, and desire to learn more about curling.
Even though Canada is "THE" place for curling, it's not very common to see this sport set up to teach the little ones.
Our curling club does not yet have a set of curling rocks, and my hope is to get us some!
All he wants to do is be a Little Rocker!
This lens exists for all those out there who may be in the same situation as my 6 year old son. He so desperately wants to be a part of the awesomeness that is curling.Mom & Dad go every week, and he gladly comes along with us, to cheer, and anxiously waits in hopes that we will set aside a few minutes for him to throw a few rocks as we warm up and practice.
Our local curling arena has mentioned that they are very keen on the idea of starting up a Little League - for the really young curlers. There are only a few things stopping it from happening.

They do not have a set of LITTLE ROCKERS.
Little Rockers are 20 pound curling rocks, designed for the wee beans who would love to follow in the footsteps of their curler folks.
I will do my best to fill this Children's Curling lens with loads of great links, info, events, and anything else i can find that might be of interest to other Kid Curlers & their parents.

My hope is that eventually this lens can generate enough money to either buy the league a set of Little Rockers, or at the very least, be a major contributor in the funding for it!

So apparently the Little Rockers are $3,000.00 a set. Our Curling Club leader was checking into this. Although it is $1,000 more than she had originally told me, she also said that there were pretty good odds that if I was able to raise the first two, the club would certainly top it up.
How about halfway?? haha.
