To start with, cut slips of paper of about the same size - you need the same number of slips as you have children playing the game. On one piece of paper put the word 'Murderer' on it, the other pieces leave blank. Then place them all into a bowl. Each child then picks a slip out of the bowl.

How to play: everyone walks about the room just talking to each other, but the guest who has picked out the "Murderer" paper slip must walk around the party and "kill" people by winking at them. When a player is winked at, they must count to 3 then fall to the floor, this means they are also out of the game. During this time, if anyone still in the game thinks they know who the "murderer" is, they must shout out "Stop! I know who the Murderer is". If they guess wrong, then they are also out of the game, and must fall on the floor "dead". But if they have guessed right, then they are the winner.

If you have the option, having the kids party outdoors is probably more preferable for both kids and parents.
