Chosing The Right Childrens Telescope
Tips for Buying a Childrens Telescope
A telescope is one of the best science toys for kids that parents can enjoy too. Who wouldn't rather have their kid camped out in the backyard gazing at the stars instead of plugged into a game console? If you're having trouble choosing a kids telescope, take a look at this list of bestseling kids telescopes
An Easy-To-Use Kids Telescope
Celestron 21061 AstroMaster 70 AZ Refractor Telescope
"I bought this scope for my neighbor's kids as a Christmas present. They (along with their dad) had very little experience with telescopes, so I expected it would take some time (along with a little help from me) to get this scope up and running. I was wrong. The very night I gave it to them, they (actually, the dad) set it up and enjoyed looking at the moon with it. They didn't need me at all. In fact, I have yet to look through the scope myself. They tell me it's fantastic. It certainly struck me as a serious, well-made scope when we took it out of the box. The fact that it is so easy to use makes it a really great scope."
A Great First Telescope For Kids
Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope
"All-in-all, you will not find a better telescope for the money ANYWHERE. I am accustomed to 6-10 inch telescopes, and this little 3-inch blew my socks off. It stays in my car nearly everywhere I go, and I'm not afraid to take it out with crazy kids all over the place wanting to look through it. My wife loves it, my niece and nephew love it, and admittedly...I love it. I can't wait until my kids get their introduction to astronomy with this gem. Celestron really went out of their way to create something special. What a way to jump-start the minds of this upcoming generation! "

Nature Toys For Kids
Ant Farms, Terrariums and Insect Collecting
Who didn't have Sea Monkeys when they were a kid? Nowadays natural science toys are a lot better than tiny brine shrimp floating in a plastic bottle. Check out this list of bestselling nature toys for kidsA Nature Toy That Fascinates and Educates
Fascinations AntWorks Illuminated Blue
"This is an awesome product. The ants are busy and the tunnels look so cool in the gel. My 2-year old can pick it up without disturbing them too much. It comes with a little magnifying glass so you can really see how they chew up the gel and make the tunnels. I would recommend buying the ants directly from the Lifeworks website instead of using the order form, then popping them in the fridge for a few minutes to slow them down before you put them in. After that you only need to crack it open once a week or so to give them air, but they seem to go to sleep in the evenings so I don't worry about them escaping. It is really a fascinating toy!"
Top Selling Butterfly Kit For Kids
Insect Lore Live Butterfly Garden
"I bought this kit for my 5-year-old, but my 3-year-old wound up loving it every bit as much as the older one. The caterpillars arrive in a sealed container with everything they need--all you have to do is observe them. After a week, we placed the cocoons in the habitat, and out hatched five gorgeous butterflies. What's more, they began laying eggs within a few days, and before you know it, we had DOZENS of teeny-tiny baby caterpillars! Of course, we set them free outside (I'm no bug farmer), and we enjoyed painted lady butterflies throughout the rest of the summer. This kit provided my children with a wonderful, exciting learning experience that they will never forget!"

Microscopes For Kids
Reveal Hidden Worlds To Your Child's Eyes!
The first time any kid looks through a microscope is a magical moment. A whole new unseen world is suddenly revealed, and suddenly everything needs to be examined. Kids' microscopes today are sturdy and easy to use. Take a look at his list of bestselling kids microscopesA Great Kids Microscope For Beginners
My First Lab Duo-Scope
"My 7-year old LOVES this microscope. I never dreamed he would be so thrilled with it. It's durable and the lights work great. I did not expect it to be so well built at this price. And, it a good thing, because he carries it from room to room. I bought him some prepared slides too, which he has really enjoyed. The magnification and clarity of the lenses is also great on this scope. All around...a great deal!!"
Best Microscope For Kids of Any Age
EyeClops Bionic Eye Multizoom
"I bought this for when my grand children and nieces and nephews visit. Their ages range from 2 1/2 to 18. They ALL loved the EyeClops! We looked at fabric, bugs, dust, onion skins, food, our skin, the cats' hair and so much more. The kids were mesmerized and each took a turn looking at something they chose to view. Even the most flighty of the kids was glued to the images on the screen and we all talked and interacted and learned. I had my computer next to the TV and we looked up about skin cells, dust, bugs and all. Several hours passed quickly and the kids didn't want to stop for dinner. I highly recommend the EyeClops for hours of educational fun!"

Easy Electronics Kits For Kids
Light Up Your Child's Imagination With These Kids Electronic Kits
Old electronic kits pinched little figures and had little wires and parts that got lost just when things were getting fun. Today's generation of electronic project sets are easier to use than ever before, with simple snap components instead of wires, and dozens of fun projects. Whether it's making a simple light circuit or building a robotic bug that scuttles across the table, you're little scientist will have hours of fun with these bestselling electronics kits for kids300+ Electronics Mini Projects In One Box!
Electronic Snap Circuits SC-300
"In this day when so many toys are junk, Snap Circuits is a welcome exception. This is easier than the "labs" in which you must connect wires. These circuits have simple instructions and are easy to snap into place. There is much to be learned as well as much fun to have. Kids learn about LED's, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, etc...... We liked the first kit we got so much that my son spent his own money on the big 750 project kit. Not a day goes by that he doesn't create a really cool circuit. We strongly recommend this toy. "

Snap Circuits Extreme SC-750
"I've been looking at the Snap Circuit sets for several years now and finally purchased the SC-750 for my daughters 9th birthday. I was a bit worried she was too young for it but found that was not the case. She's already built the voice recorder, FM radio and doorbell projects and had a blast playing with each of them. The projects are really simple to build (I only helped with the first one) by following the detailed instructions and well marked components. She came home yesterday, did her homework and went right to Snap Circuits and began building another project (much better than watching the TV). I look forward to using the computer interface so we can actually learn (together) about electronics. I suspect this is one of those rare toys that that will not gather dust on the shelf. "
