A Great Vacation for the Whole Family
While visiting our friends in Hendersonville , N.C. we decided to all drive over to Lake Lure and visit Chimney Rock Park. What a beautiful day, May 20th , 2007 ! The mountain laurel and rhododendruns were blooming , not a cluod in the sky !The climb along the Ridge Trail was spectacular, and fun. Be prepared to climb a lot of wooden stairs.
The view of the waterfall is worth the climb.
It's a narrow path down, but fun.
You may recognize the waterfall from the end of the movie "The Last of the Mohicans" starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
