China to Build Futuristic Bus

Ranked #10,685 in Travel & Places, #269,356 overall

Can you envision Buses that drive over cars?

China has done it again. They will continue to be a leader in new technology once they build this gigantic bus that will literally drive over cars using the wasted space above our highways and bi-ways to transport their enormous population. Why hadn't anyone thought of this before? Besides inspiring and impressing the rest of the world this new type of transportation could reduce China's record setting greenhouse emissions and bring the rest of the world into a new era of eco-friendly transportation.

Public Transportation Debate

Is public transportation a problem in your city?

Loading

Yes

digitaltree says:

yes, in some cities the buses take over an hour depending of where you are a night.

newbizmau says:

I'm from Mobile, AL and the problem here is the lack of Public Transportation. It's a big city and relying on a bus to get to and from is a joke if you want to be anywhere quickly that is if they go to where you need to be. Most likely I'll end up walking a country mile afterwards. All the while our main rd. Airport Blvd is getting ever more congested during rush hour. This could definitely help our city become more efficient and bring us up to date with modern transportation.

gtalan says:

Yes. The system actually works well as far moving people from one place to another, but in Manatee County, FL, the buses only run Monday-Saturday from 6 AM to 7 PM which means they are not suitable solution for people who may need them the most.

No

LindaJM says:

LOL. There's no inner-city need as the town is so small you can walk to wherever you want to go. We have the "Stage" that takes us to the "big city" (population 7000) twice a week.

reasonablerobinson says:

From time to time. Not enough train passenger capacity here in the UK and the motorways are packed too.

darciefrench says:

No, it works pretty well in our city, but it's a small city. Vancouver could use something like this bus.

Would you like to have this bus in your city?

I'd like to have it between here and the coast, or between here and the inland highway.

I remembered seeing this Eco friendly bus online on the news - perhaps it was yahoo. Anyhow I featured it on one of my pages, because it is related to technology. You can see my page and yours featured at www.squidoo.com/go-green_technology

yes, if i'm in this bus and a car accident happens, it means not injures, lets face it it will only move the bus a little, but not to the point of killing the passengers. The design looks well balance and the fact that the bus has stability to such lengths and is bigger than all cars and trucks would make me feel safe.
  • reasonablerobinson May 26, 2011 @ 12:45 am | delete
Yes except when cars crash and veer off into to the sides of the bus causing massive death and destruction...oh and hold ups
