Chinese Astrological Signs: Chinese Horoscope Animals

Chinese Astrological Signs come in the form of specific Chinese Horoscope Animals. These Chinese Astrological Signs are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.

Chinese astrology is similar to Western Astrology in that each has 12 Zodiac Signs, but whereas the Western Zodiac signs cover a month in the calendar year, the signs for Chinese Horoscopes last for a full calendar year.

Chinese Astrology uses the lunar calendar and the Chinese New Year falls somewhere between late January and mid-February. Each year is named after the Chinese Horoscope Animals, that follow one another in a specific order, which is repeated over twelve years.

People born in a specific year are believed to take on the qualities and character of the Chinese Zodiac Sign after which the year is named.

Here you will find an outline of each of the Chinese Astrological signs. So which of the Chinese Horoscope Animals are you?
