Chinese Symbols for Words: How To Get The Tattoo You Want
Getting a translation for Chinese symbols for words is just so easy nowadays. Any words - any phrase.
But before you race off and get your tattoo, please consider, do you really know what those beautiful symbols mean?
Maybe it is just TOO EASY to get Chinese symbols tattooed on your body.
Lower down you'll find a link to the translation site I use but please do read the warnings first before you head off and get your Chinese symbols translation.
Tattoo translation dangers you need to know about
I know you're in a hurry for that translation but this will only take a moment!
Is that really want you want? You're looking for something beautiful and full of meaning and you get it done by a soulless, senseless computer.
You need a person trained in the art of translating English ideas into a Chinese symbol that means what you want it to mean.
You need a person who will give you a choice of calligraphic style, who is interested in what area of the body the tattoo needs to go on (so important and often ignored), who bothers to ask what sex the person wearing the tattoo is.
I found a translation service that I could trust.
What's the point of using a free service if the translation is botched and you have to pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars to have the tattoo removed.
Once you have made your choice as to the word that you want, get the translation of that word or phrase into Chinese symbols done by an expert.
Please - at the very least ensure it is done by a person and not computer software.
If you've ever had a web page translated then you know what a shamozzle those soft ware programs make of language! Sure - you get the gist of what the web page is about - but we're talking here about something that you want to live with for the rest of your life.
Chinese character writing is an ancient art form. Respect it. Respect your own body.

Tattoo Words And Phrases
Maybe one of these ancient Chinese sayings is the right tattoo for you
A gem is not polished without rubbing, nor a man made perfect without trials.
If you always give, you will always have.
If you bow at all, bow low.
The rose has thorns only for those who would gather it.
There are many paths to the top of the mountain, but the view is always the same.
David Beckham's Chinese Symbols
The words of David Beckham's Chinese symbol tattoo come from an ancient Chinese proverb. The translation of this Chinese proverb is "Death and life have determined appointments. Riches and honor depend upon heaven."
As with most Chinese proverbs this has layer upon layer of meaning.
Interestingly, one experienced translator said that the David Beckham "Death and Life" tattoo is the only Chinese symbol tattoo on a Westerner that she liked.
And this is what can make getting a translation of Chinese symbols so defining. You can end up with something so profound you could live your life by it.
OR
Chinese symbols for words that you DON'T want!
Or - you could end up with one of these. These are just some of the phrases that so-called tattoo artists have placed upon unsuspecting people.
Yes - each of these phrases has been tattooed upon someone.
Make sure that you're not the next victim of someone's perverted sense of humor.
Do you really want to go through life with "I'm stupid enough to think this tattoo looks cool" emblazoned on your body!
Get a translation you can trust
You'll be pleased you did!

- Thanks. I especially liked seeing more than one style saying the same phrase. I have been on multiple sites today and yours was the most satisfactory.

- Does your tattoo look like this ? 姐姐,as this means older sister. The one that you are looking for should look like this 妹妹。 If you did get older sister, perhaps you can pretend it is in recognition of her :)

- The character for silver is 银. This is pronounced 'yin' with a rising tone. It is a common word however and is included in many things to do with money, such as within the compounds for '(the UK) pound' and 'bank'

- It's funny how we butcher each others languages! I see Chinese girls all the time (in Beijing) wearing t-shirts with phrases in English that make no sense. Phrases like "Happy with time and yours this life." ...Then some of my Chinese friends showed me a website hosting pictures of Westerners with Chinese character tattoos...they made even less sense! ...and they're tattoos, not t-shirts! Funny
