What Applied Kinesiology Can Tell You About Your Wellness
Applied kinesiology has only recently entered the world of medicine and is a relatively new technique. George J. Goodheart came up with the idea in 1964.
Now, over one third of chiropractors have taken up using this method. The procedure is intended as a way to test the wellness of a patient without typical invasive methods.
Because of the non-invasive technique, many patients are interested in the test. Chiropractic kinesiology has recently become the 10th most-used technique among chiropractors.

What is Applied Kinesiology?
by: Daniel Bannard DC
You may have noticed the way your body feels weak and achy whenever you try to perform even simply physical tasks while you are ill. Joints ache and muscles feel weak and tired when you are sick.
Muscle kinesiology is a technique used to determine whether your body is functioning properly by measuring the connection between muscles and physical health.
When your body is sick, muscles react in a way that chiropractors can feel when they test them. If a chiropractor can target the affected area, they may be able to relieve aches and pains associated with the problem.
How does the Chiropractor Perform the Test?
Chiropractic kinesiology, which is a form of applied kinesiology, is a simple test involving muscle resistance. That doesn't mean that a strong muscle is a healthy muscle, rather it means that a quality response to resistance makes for a healthy muscle.
The primary resistance test is called the delta test. This test involves measuring the resistance response of applied pressure on an extended arm.
If a muscle tremors or is slow to respond, it might mean there is an underlying issue. This test can often tell a chiropractor if there is some special attention required in that area.
What can Applied Kinesiology Tell Me about Myself?
Applied kinesiology is a general term that encompasses many different techniques. Chiropractic kinesiology specifically focuses on what muscle resistance can tell you about your health, but other methods may be able to tell you about possible allergies or how your organs are functioning.
Applied kinesiology is basically a lie detector test for your body. Rather than relying on the feedback the patient can feel from their body, the chiropractor can test the body's subconscious reactions. These techniques are considered pure because they test your body's true reactions and not what you interpret as your body's reactions.
Chiropractic kinesiology has become a very popular technique among chiropractors. Rather than relying on what patients tell them, chiropractors use the test to get direct feedback from the body.
If you regularly visit the chiropractor, the test is simple and non-invasive. If you have been considering visiting a chiropractor, having the test performed might be just the reason you need to schedule a visit.
