What Chiropractors Do and Not Do

Chiropractic students take a lot of basic and specialized courses in chiropractic school, just like any other medical student. They have comprehensive courses in microbiology, anatomy, general medical courses, public health, physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, and more. After these basic courses, they will head on to more specialized chiropractic education which includes its principles and practice, its research methods and procedures, and including a practicum in caring for chiropractic patients.

Despite being able to provide treatment for a lot of physical conditions, chiropractors are not allowed to provide treatment for a lot of physical conditions. Serious diseases like cancer, asthma, diabetes, heart diseases cannot be healed by chiropractors. Chiropractors are also not allowed to establish themselves as physical therapists. This profession has its set of licensing and training licensing requirements that are far too different from chiropractic. This is a caution for those who might meet a Tallahassee chiropractor that may make such claims.
