National Chocolate Day in the US

iconOctober 28th, just before Halloween, is National Chocolate Day. This is the day that all chocolate lovers near and far can indulge in their addiction out on the open, without shame or ridicule. For me, this could be celebrated any day of the year!

Are you ready for it? Do you have your heart set on tasty, soul satisfying chocolate? What will it be? Is dark chocolate your sinful indulgence, or will it be creamy milk chocolate to create that euphoric feeling? Maybe you prefer a touch of caramel or fruit dipped in chocolate gooey goodness.

Four Piece Favor Box

Great for showing gratitude or an "out-of-the-blue" surprise, the four piece box is sure to make them smile. These also make delicious and memorable event favors for weddings or corporate dinners and may be customized.

How Do You Like Your Chocolate?

iconWould you prefer to have your chocolate indulgence satisfied with a wonderfully moist cake? Some people prefer their chocolate in a cake or pie instead of straight up.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mousse Cake
How about this 7 inch Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mousse Cake, a layer of chocolate cake heaped with peanut butter mousse swirled with delicious brownie and milk chocolate chunks.

The Chocoholics Pledge

~Holley

The Pledge of Chocoholic Pride

I am proud to be a chocoholic, I dip my cookie with pride.

The days grow cold and the nights grow long when I don't have my bar by my side.

Whether by bar or by spoon a mouthful won't do. The cocoa craving must be satisfied.

Domestic or imported, it has been reported that by cookie, cake, bar or drink, it will keep your true love alive.

Helene-Malmsio says:

October 28th will be marked in bold red pencil for this year!

MrsPotts says:

I had no idea there was a National Chocolate Day. Of course I will be celebrating it!

jenniferteacher says:

Why celebrate chocolate only once a year? I like to give thanks and praise for chocolate every day! :-D

LilMonkey says:

Of course. My birthday is actually October 29, so how appropriate to have 2 special days in a row!

iMANDY says:

Nice Lens!
Everyday is Chocolate day, love it!
I am Australian and I'm sure that we don't celebrate it, oh well, I will be, any excuse :)

No, I refuse to take part in the indulgence.

elynmac says:

No - I react to eating chocolate, sigh. But I love it. There are some kinds of chocolate I can get away with eating a tiny amount of - all the "crummy" chocolates, like chocolate bunnies, that taste like wax! And oddly enough, Mrs. See's. So I am a huge fan of Mrs. See's chocolates, and get a box for the family at Christmas. Godiva's are the worst for me - isn't that strange?

1chocolateparty says:

No, I swear never to regard the chocolate day as something special. I am going to keep my usual behavior. I promise to eat my normal chocolate dose and be happy without any indulgence.

Do you believe me?

kelli320 says:

Someone else can have my share. I don't dislike it, but I'm not a big fan of chocolate.

karmicchristian says:

I'd rather celebrate it everyday! :)

Brick_House_Fabrics says:

Hate to say it, I don't LIKE chocolate; but my family members are ALL chocoholics!

A Love Affair with Chocolate

The world has had a three thousand year love affair with chocolate. It was used like gold in some historic eras. Bartering for a chocolate bar still happens in the schoolyards and workplaces everywhere.
Chocolate is one of the most popular flavors in the world. Molds of different shapes have become traditional on many holidays: chocolate bunnies and eggs are popular on Easter, chocolate coins on Hanukkah, Santa Claus and other holiday symbols on Christmas, and hearts on Valentine's Day. Chocolate is also used in cold and hot beverages.

Welcome All Chocolate Lovers!

Remember Chocolate for Valentine's Day too!

I'd love to know you stopped by.
