Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie Recipe
Oatmeal cookies are a favorite of many children, as is chocolate. These Chocolate chip Oatmeal cookies blend the best of both. Deliciously rich chocolate chips embedded in sweet oatmeal cookies. A perfect taste blend for the perfect cookie.
Children and adults alike will love these cookies. These make great after school treats. They will be loved by your fellow workers at the office at mid day break.
Perhaps have a batch on hand the next time company arrives. They are wonderful to serve at luncheons or really anytime. Make these and drop on cookie sheets and freeze for just a few minutes until hard.
Then layer then with sheets of parchment paper between layers and freeze in a freezer safe container. The next time company arrives remove and let come to room temperature. Remove the sheets of parchment paper and bake. You will have a treat for your guests in no time that they will enjoy.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies Recipe Directions
Just follow these simple directions!
- Serves: 20 (Makes 40)
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and stir this into the creamed mixture until just blended.
Mix in the oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
Drop by heaping spoonfuls on to ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
