Chocolate, Chocolate, Who Loves Chocolate? I Know I Do

Who Loves Chocolate? A silly question? Maybe....Maybe not. Essentially I think everybody does. Just in case you didn't realize it, though, Chocolate is one of the most popular flavors in the world. Holiday gift-giving wouldn't be the same without chocolate.

A guy gives his sweetheart a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. The Easter basket would look empty without the chocolate bunny and Easter eggs. Chocolate coins are given out on Hanukkah. The list goes on and on......

Chocolate Is A Must In The Comfort Food Arsenal

Chocolate is also used in hot and cold beverages alike. An iced cold glass of chocolate milk with a plate full of chocolate chip cookies really hits the spot for an after school snack. On a cold winter day a steaming hot cup of cocoa chases the chill away.

Chocolate is definitely a comfort food for many people. But what most people don't know is that chocolate (dark chocolate, that is) actually has healing abilities, in addition to tasting great!

More Chocolate Basics......

While white chocolate is usually eaten just for pleasure, dark chocolate can provide potential health benefits. Cocoa or dark chocolate can benefit the circulatory system. Dark chocolate can also stimulate the brain, suppress a cough, and can help with diarrhea symptoms. These benefits are only when Dark Chocolate is consumed in small quantities of 1-2 squares a day.

Always remember, too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing. Moderation should always be observed. Eating too much chocolate will most assuredly make you gain weight and eliminate any health benefits derived from consuming it.

New Study Reveals Chocolate Is Great For Your Mood!

I read a recent study about the effects of consuming chocolate. The part I found most interesting was that when you melt a piece of chocolate in your mouth your brain activity increases and your heart beat picks up. This sensation was more intense than kissing, and was said to last up to 4 times longer.

Who would have thought chocolate could pack such a punch?

Cocoa-Lite

Since most chocolate recipes can be loaded with calories I thought I'd share with you a low-fat hot cocoa alternative:

Cocoa-Lite Hot Chocolate Drink

1 Cup 1% Milk (skim)
1-2 squares Dark Chocolate

Microwave the milk on high 2 minutes. Carefully remove the hot cup from the microwave and drop in the chocolate squares. Stir until completely melted and enjoy.

Nice Lens ! I get more information in this site. I like Chocolate. So try everyone... Chocolate Lovers .I thought that chocolate chips were needed in an otherwise perfect cake. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts, if using. Chocolate lovers, rejoice -- this is your dessert. Cocoa powder flavors flat disks of meringues, and rich bittersweet chocolate is the base for the filling that holds them together.

Sensational Chocolate For The Holidays!

The holidays are the perfect time to give someone the gift of sweetness in a box. Since dark chocolate can actually be good for you in small quantities, consider giving a scrumptious box of dark chocolates to a family member who may not be in the best of health. A basketful of mixed treats would make a fantastic gift for your hostess. Better yet, get something for yourself and indulge in the smooth, luscious texture and taste of Chocolate!

Why wait for the holidays? Treat yourself or someone you love today!
