Recipes for every chocolate taste
Best Gift Ever
My mother-in-law gave this recipe book to my wife for her bridal shower and we have enjoyed it ever since. The author is an award winning food journalist, and the photographer is an award winner as well. Put the two together and you get much more than your Grandma's cookbook. The pictures alone are worth it!
Even if you don't want the recipes, the pictures alone make this book a great addition to the coffee table!

My Favorite Cake
I promised to tell you about my favorite recipe in the book. Its called "My Mother's Buttermilk Chocolate Cake" with "Rich Chocolate Frosting". The funny thing is, even though the cake is phenomenal, it's the frosting that makes this cake a home run for me.
When you first make the frosting, its soft and smooth, but by day two it has stiffened into fudge. So my wife layers on the frosting until its about as thick as the cake itself. We get two desserts in one!
