New Zealand's Best Dessert Is This Chocolate Caramel Slice
Not only is this Chocolate Caramel Slice delicious, it is easy to make. So easy in fact that my 12 year old daughter made the one pictured to the left. So, what are you waiting for, grab your grocery list, have a read, head to the store and come back with enough time to whip up a chocolate slice for dessert. My apologies to anyone on a diet, but on the bright side, this is actually worth the little bit of extra calories.

- I had forgotten this old recipe, a favourite of my great grandmother. Do you think it's really a New Zealand invention?

- I do, but then again, I think Pavlova is a Kiwi invention and I know of at least one person who disagrees.
