The Truth About Giving in to Your Chocolate Cravings
Ranked #1,009 in Healthy Living, #23,051 overall
Are You Giving Your Chocolate Cravings a Green Light?
Chocolate in its raw form can be healthy; but some people have twisted the message to read, chocolate can be healthy. When they start believing this myth, it can wreak havoc on their health by green- lighting every chocolate craving that comes about.
Using cocoa powder gives you lots of nutrition and antioxidants - it's when you add the fat and sugar that it becomes very unhealthy. If you really want to experiment - and get great nutrition - be sure to use raw chocolate - which is called cacao (see the difference in spelling? ).
Don't worry! I'm not about to turn an angry mob against you....
But how about soothing your cravings in a different way?
Cravings are your body's way of telling you it's in need of something. Indulging in chocolate doesn't need to stem from a craving, but because you made a conscious decision to enjoy some.
Instead of seeking out raw chocolate options, most chocoholics grab any cookie, cake, or candy with the ingredient in it and stuff it into their mouths without thinking, "Is this good for me?"
It's not all your fault, either! Chocolate's addictive because it stimulates your brain's "feel-good" receptors. Every time you eat it and feel good from it, your body remembers that feeling and calls on it in the future whenever you're feeling stressed, hungry, or just bored!
Learn how to tame your cravings for chocolate and you'll enjoy more energy in your life, fewer digestive problems, and lower cholesterol.
You'll be welcoming a strong, healthy new you who's achieved mental clarity, a slender body, and an overall sense of well-being knowing you're not at the mercy of a food anymore.

How to eliminate carb cravings:
The Connection Between Chocolate Cravings and PMS
Well, women who are borderline anemic can sometimes have stronger cravings because chocolate fulfills that need - it's chock full of iron!
Wait a minute! Don't use that one sentence as an excuse to stock up on Hershey Bars. Chocolate also has magnesium, and when a woman is short on that, it can spur more intense PMS symptoms.
Chocolate Cravings
If women suffering PMS simply indulged in some healthy chocolate (and in moderation), it wouldn't be an issue. But many go to the store, toss in two gallons of Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie ice cream, and label their purchase with the PMS excuse.
If you're prone to suffering from chocolate cravings during your monthly cycle, try buying individual pieces of dark chocolate, because it has a higher level of antioxidants and flavonols, which are good for your heart.
It's far better to give in to your craving with a couple of small, yet rich pieces of chocolate than it is to down half a cake from the bakery.
Let the chocolate melt in your mouth!
Cocoa butter melts at 98 degrees - the same as your body temperature!
