Interior design: Choosing your colour

The word "colour" looks and sounds simple but itself it's having really very powerful meaning.

Human eye reacts to everything and colour is having ability to change our mood and at the same time our behavior.

Although there are billions of people in the world and everyone will react to colour in very different way. The reason of it can lie deeply in upbringing, believing and life experience, the part of the world you live. Colour association is generally based on person's individual personality or cultural background. In Western cultures black symbolizes death, but in other countries the colour of death is white.

However, there is a "norm" for every colour. Psychologists found the standard psychological effect for every colour which is likely to provoke either positive or negative effect but colour should be chosen for every specific place individually.

Now I'm going to write down the psychological effect of 4 colours: 3 primaries (red, green and yellow) and one secondary (purple).

Remember

When designing and choosing colour:
be aware of emotional effect colour can create.
