Choosing A Telemarketing Company
In the UK there are hundreds of telemarketing companies ranging from freelancers to call centers.
Choosing the right one would depend on a number of factors:
>How much calling you are looking for - 1 day a week, 10 people calling 5 days a week etc.
>What sort of calling are you looking for - Lead Generation, incoming calling, selling etc.
>B2B (business to Business) or B2C (business to consumer) calling (some telemarketing companies only do one of the two.
>Industry experience - it is advised to work with a telemarketing agency that knows your industry.
>Location - Meeting with your chosen agent is always advised.
>Cost - All telemarketing companies charge differently
As there are so many telemarketing companies around the UK and quite a wide number of criteria that would determine a suitable agency, this can make 'finding' the right agency a time consuming process of going through websites on the internet one by one, calling each one up, finding someone to talk to - getting quotes...all very time consuming.
Why not use a comparison site to get quotes from the most suitable telemarketing companies and then once you find a few of interest, compare the prices of each one.
All telemarketing companies charge differently; some charge by the day (ranging from around £150 up to around £600), some per month and some per appointment (there are only around 10 agencies to charge per appointment here in the UK).
Overseas telemarketing companies are becoming more and more popular as big business moves offshore for both incoming and outbound telemarketing.
Choosing a telemarketing company is not quite as simple as it seems as there are quite a few things differentiating one telemarketing company from another.
Many telemarketing companies will say (regards location) it makes no difference where they are based - as they are talking on the phone to prospects they could be based in Brighton or Manchester and deliver the same service. This is true, however YOU will want to meet them. You do not know if they are a couple of students working out of a back room, or if they are a large call center in India. Their website may say one thing, but they wrote it - so you do need to check. Also, it is good to have monthly face to face meetings to discuss progress, issues, ROI; many companies prefer to work via e-mail or over the phone, however they are less accountable if you cannot see them. They will be more likely to deliver results if they are sat in front of you explaining where your investment has gone.
If you are investing into telemarketing; you need to ensure that you choose the right partner, an agency that is good at delivering results for the right price.

Telemarketing For 2012
The new year is fast approaching and many businesses are struggling to find the right telemarketing company for their campaigns in 2012.
The issues facing businesses during 2011 was that consumer confidence was so low; as the retail sector slowed, other industries also slowed leading to plans and decisions being put on hold.
For 2012 the drive is going to be towards results, and telemarketing companies need to consider offering some forms of guarantee or producing results rather than charging fixed day or fixed month costs.
