Birth Name: Christopher Stephen Botti
Born: October 12, 1962
Education: Indiana University..He later left Indiana University to tour with Frank Sintara
First Album: First Wish (1995)
Toured with Sting (1999). Later he attributes his relationship with Sting as a career changer.
First PBS collabration: Chris Botti Live: With Orchestra and Special Guests (2006)
Named one of People's magazine 50 Most Beautiful People in 2004
About Chris Botti trumpet:
Botti plays a Martin Committee large bore Handcraft trumpet made in 1939, and uses a #3 silver plated mouthpiece from Bach made in 1926, having recently retired his 1920 3C Bach mouthpiece. He uses a Leblanc Vacchiano Harmon mute from the 1950s. (Wikipedia)

- We thoroughly enjoyed Chris Botti and his band's performance at Wright Auditorium in Greenville, NC, on 2/9/12. This was our third Chris Botti concert over a 10-yr period, and he has continued playing that smooth trumpet, while diversifying both his writing and his overall show. A great time was had by all!
