You Were Asking?

Is Chris Farrell a scam ?

You've trawled the Internet for sometime, trying to find that perfect program that would show you the way to make money online. Chris Farrell is one of those names that you stumbled upon as you were doing your research. Perhaps this is what you're looking for ...

Now consider the following ...If Chris Farrell is a scam,

(In case you don't already know, Chris Farrell is British but has lived in LA, California for sometime. He's now making thousands per month online)
  • 1Would Chris Farrell Membership website be placed in the top spot in IM Report Card (a review site on internet products, services, memberships, etc.)
  • 2Would Chris Farrell himself tell you just how generating income online is NOT easy. It entails diligence, determination and commitment, the fruits of which will not come overnight?
  • 3Would he confess that, because of the frustrations (a typical sentiment amongst many), he - the guy himself - had considered quitting at least two times in his journey online?
  • 4Would he disclose the actual skills and marketing techniques he applied to arrive at exactly where he is currently (a five-figure monthly full-time online earner)?
  • 5Would he supply you the exact resources - email messages, lead capture pages, web page templates you can use to speed up your learning process?
  • 6Would he provide the membership site at only $37 per month and offer FREE hosting - all in the name of making it simpler for beginners to begin their internet business without worrying about information clutter or a blown-up budget?
  • 7Would he be the one to let you know that generating income online isn't as easy as clicking on a 'magic' press button as professed by some sketchy internet 'gurus'?

The above listing with the exact symptoms of a REAL scam :
  • 1Individuals who offer you a pre-sell that guarantees methods you can use to make thousands regularly fast. You leave the training - still purposeless, still cluless and what's even worse, still direction-less.
  • 2Webinars or offline workshops which touches on just the basic of creating your first website (which actually is an affiliate website on the products(s) they want you to market as an affiliate)
  • 3Courses that demand thousands of dollars, only to offer something that teachers you to incorporate Adsense in your blog or website - yes, on the pretext of "monetizing and optimising your websites".
  • 4Programs that dangle rewards and supposed assistance from uplines towards your online progress.

Here's My Real-Life Experience

This is based on a local course which I attended a year ago. I wasn't the only one who found the course useless. Other participants who followed the training instructions to a T for months, did not make money, let alone broke even. I choose NOT to mention

Need I say ....Frustrated?

It was a local 'online' seminar advertised in the papers as 'your ticket to financial freedom'. The three-day course was about $2,000.

The course per se essentially provides a ready-made website template that promotes the speaker's product. Because the template was ready-made, participants were not comprehensively taught on the subject of creating a website.

There were 45 participants and it became apparent that some need more attention due to the different levels of online 'exposure'. There were some who had no clue how to create a website while others have already certain experience on online marketing.

Mainly, two forms of marketing - email marketing and article marketing were introduced. Again, these weren't comprehensive enough for participants to be doing on their own and receive optimum results. For example, Search Engine Optimization, an important aspect in article marketing, was not thoroughly explained.

You Think That Was The End?
Nope, there was more ....

The worst parts of the course were to follow:

1. Participants were told they could sign up for hosting for ten years at about $1000.

2. Participants can choose to go for a refresher course at a charge.

3. Participants were given option for a course on making money from mini-sites that cost about $10,000.

Some participants signed up for the up-sell courses, really believing that they could make money online fast. However, six months down the road, many did not see the money coming in, let alone break even.

Personally, I attended the first course but at the time, although I hadn't learnt a lot on online business, I knew enough to think that paying $10,000 for a course that provides you a whole lot of crap CDs is ridiculous.

In a way, I was poorer by $2000 and for no tangible benefits. However, looking back now, it was a lesson I'd never forget and what I sincerely hope others could learn from.
