Chris Martin of Coldplay
"Coldplay" formed in 1998 when fellow band members: Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, & Will Champion met at university. The Grammy award winning band supports various charities; most notably Oxfam's Fair Trade Fair & Amnesty International. Chris Martin also supports and voices his opinions on various political causes including american politics. The Grammy Award Winning Rock Band is best known for their songs "Clocks", "Fix You", "Speed of Sound", "The Scientist", "Viva La Vida" & "Yellow".
The band has now kicked off their four-month long "Viva La Vida" tour on May 5, 2009 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The much anticipated tour will make stops throughout the United States, Canada, and Western Europe and will end in Wembley Stadium, London, England on September 19, 2009. Christopher Anthony John "Chris" Martin (born 2 March 1977) is an English singer-songwriter and instrumentalist, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Coldplay. He is married to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he has two children.
