My Quizzography
QUIZFEST - Quizzes for Everyone!
As of May 28th 2011, I have started also posting my updates on ChrisDay at Amplify.com.
My Quiz factory came of age today (9th February 2011), with 21 quizzes on offer. This figure has since increased mightily!
This lens is a way of bringing together my many and varied (and of course highly intellectual!) squid quizzes, for the benefit of those quizhounds who love to do quizzes, for those lensmasters who want points to work towards 'leveling up' (in England, we call it 'levelling up'), for those who want to expand their knowledge of certain areas, for those who want to use them to help with home education (home schooling), for those with travel plans and for those who just like trivia.
Some of the quizzes can be quite challenging. When it comes to some answers, well there's no way they can be fudged. Other quizzes are pretty light-hearted and not too demanding. Some can be a bit irreverent of the topic but are never intended to offend anyone. Whatever, I hope you'll enjoy them.
I hope there's something here for everyone. Take the quizzes and watch your points counter go crazy!
You earn 10 squid points for taking a 'standard' quiz and 10 points for each question in the 'mega' quizzes. However, having just reached level 60, I now find that I'm only earning 5 points per quiz! Oh well . . . Points available were believed to be correct at time of going to press! [It seems that, since I wrote this, it's now only 5 points for taking a quiz!]
Disclaimer: The Squidoo team appears to vary the points allocation like mad (the points system is jumping about more than a grasshopper on a hotplate!), so my points estimates, done in good faith at the time of publishing, may not be valid, depending upon the scoring regimen in place at any given time.
Come back again - more titles are likely to be added
On 13th March 2011, I clocked up 99 lenses with my Quiz about Saint David. I had been trying to keep quizzes to only one-in-three of my lens output but I'm now one quiz over, so I need to write two more 'straight' lenses. However, I'm taking my time over deciding on a subject for lens number 100, it'll have to be something special. Sorry but there may be no new quizzes until that's done.
