Advance appointments can be made by one of the three methods suggested below:

Phone appointments Important for Card holders

New (first time patient) and repeat appointments can be made by phone through the CMC Call Center.The contact numbers are 0416 - 2288000 or 0416 -3078000.

Patients can make the payment through Indian credit card (new & repeat appt.) or CHRIS card (repeat appt. only) using secure IVR payment system

Online appointments

Repeat appointments can be made through the online facility. New/first time patient cannot book an appointment through online.
Online appointments can be made with payment through valid Credit card and also through CHRIS card which has enough cash balance.

Note: CHRIS card is a card which you can avail from CMC hospital after registration by depositing a minimum amount of Rs.50/- and which can be recharged with multiples of Rs.500/-

Postal appointments

New (first time patient) and Repeat appointments can also be done through post. Payment can be done by Demand Draft made in favour of "The Treasurer, CMC Vellore Association" payable at Vellore Town Branch and sent by post to:

Appointment through Demand draft will be made only after receiving the demand draft with the sociological data form filled with the relevant information.

The filled in form along with the demand draft should be send atleast one month in advance. Please mention your contact telephone number so that the booking status can be intimated to you.

Individual demand drafts to be sent for every appointment.

The nearest railway station is katpadi,which is accessible from any part of India.CMC is about 5 km from the station.You can hire taxi,auto rickshaw or can go by bus.
The nearest airport is Chennai which is about 130 km from Vellore.From airport you can hire a taxi or come by bus or train.Chennai is also connected to rest of the world by its international airport.

Katpadi is an area in Vellore, at the northern most part of Vellore city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The place gained importance due to its strategic location on the broad gauge line between Chennai-Bangalore and Villupuram-Tirupati. It is known to house VIT, one of India's premier educational institution.

Katpadi was once a village and was upgraded to a panchayat town,supported by its own Taluk office. It is a major Assembly Constituency. The original Katpadi village is now called Old Katpadi which lies on road which connects Thiruvalam and Gudiyatham.

Katpadi lies in the northern side of the Palar river. Andhra Pradesh state border is just a 5 minute drive from Katpadi. On Vellore being upgraded to a Corporation, Katpadi has also been included in the city limits. The Government Boys Higher Secondary School located here is more than 100 years old.

A broad gauge railway line which connects Tamil Nadu to Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu (Chennai - Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupathi - Mysore) passes through Katpadi. The railway station is location on Cuddalor - Chittor State Highway, SH 9.

Katpadi Junction is the main station which serves as the primary railway station of Vellore, providing connectivity to virtually every city and town in India.
Katpadi Junction is one of the most important junctions in Southern Railway bearing the station code KPD. The number of commuters have increased tremendously mainly due to the Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMC), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), the temple town of Tirupati and more recently due to the Golden temple at Sripuram

At CMC patients can stay at an affordable price within the main campus and advance booking is also done for your convenience.

There are many budget and economy hotels near the CMC hospital.Cost may vary from Rs.50/- to Rs.500/- in between.You can also rent a flat in the monthly basis for a longer duration of treatment,It also varies from Rs.3000/- pm towards.For exact rent you may contact hotel where you want to stay.Communication here is very good.Daily bus service is provided for patients to come to CMC from Katpadi railway station.
