What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] Romans 8:31 Amplified Bible
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 Amplified Bible
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

- Intercessory prayer is when God asks Himself through us to do something for some other person in need of His help... it is written "if we ask anything according to His will he will do it..." The scripture says, "this is the confidence we have in Him..." Just as in Salvation; is God coming Himself in the person of Jesus to save us from our sin and sins. I thought hard, that it is written, that "...he works all things after the counsel of His own will..." God counsels His own Will through us, by using us, to intercede for those we see hurting here on earth who need His help... "for we know not what we ought to pray but the Spirit itself makeths intercessions for us..." - Telly S. Lattimore

- Lovely Lens,
None of us are worthy worthy. That is what's so wonderful about grace we have in Christ. It is a free gift. No of us deserve the liberty we have in Christ Jesus, but when we accepted Him, we let our past go and by faith live a life that yearns after the things of God each day.

- "Even for this you have not forsaken me, Father" - Jesus Christ
It seems this is what Christ really meant on the cross. He wasn't saying our Father had forsaken him and let him suffer; however, it did appear that way to the audience. Even in his final days of torture Christ was never separated from Love, as those separated by guilt may have perceived. Happy Birthday to All -:)

- Regarding the "many" in Matthew 26:28.
This is the same "many" as Romans 5:19.
Some ask, Why does it say "the many" instead of "all" in Roman 5:19?
This is because the one disobedient man (Adam), and the One righteous Man (Christ) are put in a class by themselves. They are in contrast with "the many."
We may put it as follows:
The one disobedient man plus "the many" equals all mankind made sinners.
The One obedient Man plus "the many" equals all mankind made righteous.
That "the one" plus "the many" made sinners includes all mankind no one will deny.
Even so, "the One" plus "the many" made righteous is all-inclusive and guarantees the eventual salvation of all mankind.

- MY FAVORITE QUOTE OUTSIDE OF THE BIBLE
“God’s purposes are so vast and glorious, beyond all guessing now, that when they are achieved and consummated, all our sufferings and sorrows of today, even the agonies that nearly break our faith, the disasters that well nigh overwhelm us, shall, seen from that fair country where God’s age long dreams come true, bulk as little as bulk now the pieces of a broken toy upon a nursery floor, over which, thinking that all our little world was in ruins, we cried ourselves to sleep.”

- I'm praying for you Lila because God is so wonderful and I trust Him so much that if I were ever wrong in believing in Him I couldn't not believe in Him! He is wonderful and I owe Him everything--my life, my worship, my devotion. And I freely and joyfully give it to Him. Even in the darkest times of my life, He has been there and I can't stop trusting in Him. Nothing can separate me from the love of God (Rom 8:39). All religions are not equal and we cannot be divine. Only God is deity and who am I to presume to know the mind of God? (Rom 11: 33-35). Jesus is God who died on the cross for all sins and rose again from the dead and is now in Heaven. Read the lyrcis to "What If" by Nichole Nordman--and also read the gospel of John in the Bible. In the meantime, I'll be praying that God will give you spiritual eyes to see Him as the Savior of the world, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and that you fall on your face believing in Him as the only God. He is so worthy! Know Him!

"Though years may pass and times may change

- I agree actually: there is no use converting people. But the attitude I prefer is one of finding the wisdom in all religions, instead of looking at that which divides them.

- I'm doing a project in school on a book called converting Kate and was looking up quotes for it when i stumbled upon this site. I don't believe in converting ANYONE to anything, If god created me then lets say he created me to question him. I do not believe there can possibly be one way to explain the phenomenon of life. I think ALL religions are beautiful, no one has a monopoly over the other. The day all women and men decide they want to learn about the other faiths of the world is the day everyone will truly be "divine." Until then all were doing is canceling out the music of the world by shouting our own beliefs louder and trying to force them on one another. At fourteen I have a lot of thinking to do about the world but so far I've had more faith in things like my parents, a good teacher, and a best friend then god, gods, or goddesses. I have great respect for the integrity and pure faith it takes to be religious but i cannot help but wonder if any one group can know they're right

- God in His infinite wisdom has laid the path for all men to get to Him. Why all the confusion then? Man in his limited wisdom wants to pave his own way which on a sad note leads to death. The way as the creator wanted it is Jesus Christ. He is the way meaning there is no other way to get to God. Today make a decision to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ the son of the living God and you would be glad you did. Life without Christ is full of crisis. If you have Christ you have everything.

- I think you more than meet your goal here--a very gracious, encouraging and inspiring.
My favorite quote is the word in season--the one that's needed at the moment which can change a life. I've always enjoyed, "Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteosness, and he was called the friend of God".
The Beatitudes were a refreshment! Perhaps something we should all look at and meditate on--can't hurt! Blessings on your head.

- Genesis 46:2
"And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night,
and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I."
I love to sing it in a song by Dan Schute, 1981. Here's chorus.
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
And where He leads me, I go.
Thank you for the beautiful quotes. 5* anda favourite.

- One of my favorite Christian quotes: From Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; year, I will up hold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

- Thank you so much for putting this together. I love the one from Mother Theresa, and it's good to be reminded of it. Focusing on it regularly would do us each so much good.
I like to focus on "Be still and know that I am God" (Ps. 46:10) as one of my most favorite verses. It gets me and has gotten me through the thickest places in my life, through times when it seemed that God was nowhere to be found, yet was found in times yet ahead.
Resting in our faith in God, and not in ourselves is our greatest resource.

- Besides the quotes that reference God directly and involve an act exclusive to Christianity, I don't see how most of these others can't be applied usefully to a non-Christian's life.
I think that forgiveness and finding joy in difficult situations are things that are helpful in all people's reality.
