American Christian Zionism and the Armageddon Lobby: a dangerous mass hallucination?
A sector of Evangelical Christian (essentially American) generated a well-organised and strongly self-promoted movement devoted to install the notion that biblical prophecies may be fulfilled if a global conflagration (an Armageddon) occurs while the State of Israel still exists.
While anyone is free to follow the belief system of their choice, this movement is turning into a political force that intends to impose their religious doctrines to the rest of the people. Worst of all, in their self-inflicted delusion this group believes that by forcing a global, Arab-Western conflict they will have the biblical prophesies achieved and thus, the come of the Messiah.
